🔐 Step 1: Validate Your License

Enter your CastConductor license key to access the app builder.

License Key Find your license key in WordPress Admin → CastConductor → License

Step 2: Verify WordPress Plugin

Test that your CastConductor Plugin is working correctly:

WordPress Site URL Your WordPress site where you installed the plugin

Step 3: Configure Your Roku App

Audio Stream URL (optional) Your live audio stream URL (HLS, Shoutcast, or Icecast) - can be set later in WordPress

Metadata API URL (optional) API endpoint for current track information - can be set later in WordPress

Video Stream URL (optional) Base URL for video streaming (HLS/DASH) - can be set later in WordPress

Channel Name Display name for your channel

App Name Name that appears on Roku (max 30 chars)

🎨 Step 4: Custom Artwork (Optional)

Upload your own artwork to customize your Roku app. Leave blank to use CastConductor defaults.

📐 Artwork Guidelines:

Channel Icons: PNG format with transparency supported. Keep important content centered.
Splash Screens: JPG format. Use dark backgrounds for better loading experience.
Max File Size: 2MB per image
Design Tip: Roku tiles are rounded - avoid text/logos at corners

🚀 Step 5: Generate Your App

Ready to build your custom Roku app!

Step 6: Download & Install

✅ Your custom Roku app has been generated!

🔧 Sideload for Testing:

Enable Developer Mode on your Roku device: Setup Guide
Note your Roku's IP address and create a developer password
Go to http://[roku-ip] in your browser
Enter username: rokudev and your password
Upload the downloaded ZIP file
Click "Install with Zip" and enjoy your custom app!

🔑 Prepare for Channel Store Submission:

Before submitting to the Roku Channel Store, you must generate a signing key:

In a terminal, connect to your Roku: telnet [roku-ip] 8080
Run: genkey
Save your password and DevID somewhere safe! You'll need these for every update.

⚠️ Roku Channel Store Submission:

CastConductor is independent from Roku, Inc. We do not guarantee app approval by Roku. You can begin testing your Roku app immediately after downloading and sideloading on your device. However, Roku has its own approval process and wait period before apps go live in the Roku Channel Store, which is completely outside our control.
